ONI’s celebrated Type II denim jacket is back and has been cut from a fresh Ecru coloured organic cotton denim, making this the perfect offering for the summer months. This classic jacket has been reimagined by the brand for 2021 and features both traditional and modern detailing. The fabric has been woven using yarns of high-quality cotton, and has been processed through vintage shuttle looms at an ultra-low tension to create the iconic ONI 'slub' that we all know and love. The brand has included all the durable features which we have come to expect, including high-grade drill pocket lining, double felled interior seams, traditional donut style buttons, and a new custom printed canvas patch. The shape of the traditional Type II has been slimmed down on this model, with the chest pockets sitting higher on the chest to allow room for double welted side entry pockets on each side. This is a detail that we might usually expect to find in later versions of the Type III trucker, but the brand has playfully reinvented the denim rule book with this new model, bringing it gracefully into the 21st century. The 14oz denim of this jacket, combined with the ecru colourway, makes this design perfect for the summer months, and an ideal layering piece for when the weather drops cooler.
