Freewheelers S506XX 'The Vanishing West' 14oz Type I Denim Jacket

Only 1 piece in stock!

The S506xx is a brilliant example of an early edition Type-I denim jacket, the jacket that started it all. Cut from a rinsed 14 ounce denim, the brand have expertly produced an offering which stays true to its period detailing, and has been sewn with longevity in mind.

The early model Type-I is known for pairing down details that we might expect from denim jackets, purely because it comes from a period where rationing was necessary, and the world was at war. The button plate has been reduced to four ‘laurel wreath’ donut buttons, which use less metal than tack buttons, and no button flap is present on the single chest pocket.

Sewn in knife pleats have been included, along with punch through copper rivets at points of stress, a genuine leather patch, and a detailed cinch buckle at the back. It seems that sometimes, less truly is more!
