Buzz Rickson's

Buzz Rickson's BR14861 Flyer's Cold Weather Jacket - Olive

£489

This lightweight cotton poplin jacket was first introduced to the troops of the US Army during the Viet Nam war, and its fabric was chosen for its quick drying qualities in tropical climates. Commonly referred to as the ‘Helicrew Jacket’ this, this short cut, and boxy piece is both breathable and warming at the same time, and would have been worn by troops in helicopters which were used to navigate the thick jungle terrain. A warm lining of ‘Insulation Polyester Pile’ provides protection from the elements on this model, and convenience comes in the form of two side entry flap cover pockets, and one zip top utility pocket on the sleeve.

A ‘Mil Specs Brass Oxidised Black’ zipper serves as the the front fastening, and the design boasts knitted cuffs and waistband for the perfect comfort fit. This lightweight jacket has understated warming powers which make it perfect for all year round, and we are please to welcome it into the collection here at Son of a Stag.
